Directions

The John Hastie pitches are located in the town centre, close to the main village square with shops known as “The Common Green”
When driving from Hamilton (A723) or East Kilbride (A726), head towards Strathaven town centre. When you reach the town cross (Common Green on the left and Weavers Bar on the right) turn right into the narrow Lethame Road. Pitches are c. 50 yards on the rhs side accessed through iron gates.
When driving from Stonehouse on the A71, drive straight thru at first mini-roundabout. After 100 yards turn right (just after Clyde Video on your rhs) into The Common Green and approach the traffic lights at the far side of The Common Green. Go straight ahead into Lethame Road and after c. 50 yards turn right through the iron gates (see note at foot re Parking).
When driving from Ayrshire on the A71, after entering Strathaven, turn first left at the first mini-roundabout into Townhead Street. After c. 200 yards you reach the first traffic lights. At these lights (just after the Bucks Head Tavern on your lhs), turn sharp left into Lethame Road. Pitches are c. 50 yards on the rhs side accessed through iron gates (see note at foot re Parking).
Parking:
On Saturdays, parking at the pitches is possible. However there are not many spaces and double-parking can mean getting blocked in by the next set of visitors and difficulty in leaving. We recommend parking at The Common Green behind Spar, which is a 100 yard walk to the pitches.
On Sundays, no parking is allowed at the John Hastie pavilion. The car park is for the adjacent church visitors. The nearest car park is The Common Green and this is strongly recommended.
